The ingenious #CookingForWorldPeace Campaign is bridging the divide by bringing extraordinary chefs together from across the world and in turn, uniting people globally by “one favourite dish at a time”. This ultimately helps those in need. The 14 Michelin Chefs joining Chef Faisal are among the best in the world totalling 24 Michelin stars between them. They include French Chef David Toutain (2-Michelin stars), Atul Kochhar (2-Michelin stars) from India, Claude Bosi (5-Michelin stars) from France, Franck Giovannini (3-Michelin stars) from Switzerland, and Jan Hendrick van der Westhuizen (1-Michelin star) of South Africa. The campaign aims to unite people of the world irrespective of colour, creed, or culture. Sharing a meal together is an excellent way to break down barriers, is a great conversation starter leading to discussions and debates and even challenges to cook-offs, across borders. New bonds & friendships are forged simply by enjoying fabulous culinary dishes. Cooking is only limited by one’s mind. Anyone who loves food and cooking can get creative and invent new and even unusual dishes. A plate of food has the power to bring people together and bridge cultural differences and diversity.

Chef Faisal
Über
Originally following a career as a banker, Faisal changed tack and is now a world-renowned chef, consultant and a humanitarian soul at heart. Giving up his successful 10-year banking career was no easy decision but Faisal followed his passion for cooking by founding the Chef Faisal Consultancy in Bahrain. For the past 11 years he has mentored and tutored restaurants of various sizes ranging from fast food to the casual dining sector in Bahrain and Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. One such establishment has expanded from a single outlet to a chain of 30 restaurants under his tutelage. Chef Faisal continues to mentor many other businesses in the food and beverage industry explaining that opening a restaurant is an exciting but challenging adventure. One needs to have a balance of business sense as well as culinary experience, which he has. Faisal learnt about the professional art of cooking and global food techniques in Italy, studying further in England. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, is a member of the World Chefs Society and achieved a Master’s in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology. It is without a doubt that he is, therefore, well-placed to provide the all-round expert knowledge, skills and guidance to this vast growing industry.
